Austin, TX, July 31, 2007 — Central Texas’ largest Moon Festival celebration will be held at Austin’s Chinatown Center on their 1 Year Anniversary. This two day event will occur Saturday, September 22nd 11am-11pm and Sunday, September 23rd, 2007 11am-5pm. All activities will be FREE to the public, and all retail stores and restaurants in the center will be open. In addition to authentic entertainment, numerous vendors will be selling authentic Asian goods and products during the festival. Chinatown Center is located at 10901 N. Lamar Blvd. at the intersection of N. Lamar and Kramer. “This is an opportunity for the Austin public to gather together and enjoy authentic Asian entertainment and promote interest in the Asian culture” says Alex Tan, the developer of Chinatown Center. Some of the entertainment will include an award winning Dragon and Lion Dance Team, Singers from Vietnam and China, Chinese Guitarist, martial arts demonstrations, authentic Asian dances, and more.
