Chinatown Center Donates to Local Buddhist Temples

Austin, TX, December 11, 2006 — During Chinatown Center’s Grand Opening weekend in September 2006, Chinatown Center and Tan International Group, Ltd. donated over $30,000 to five (5) local Buddhist Temples.  The beneficiaries included International Progressive Buddhist Temple, Linh Son Buddhist Temple, Thai Buddhist Temple, Land of Compassion and Wisdom, and Taiwan Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation.

When asked about the purpose of the generous donation, Alex Tan, head developer of Chinatown Center, said, “We wanted to share our good fortunes with the local Temples as we have a lot to be thankful for, and I want to ensure that all temples will have an opportunity to share their wisdom with the next generation.”
